Real Madrid finally won 2-1.

The Israeli first division is certainly a very interesting one. Good players, nice goals. Pini Balili scored a screamer, with a 30-metres stunning shot, on the volley. The ball stopped in the net and the keeper could not parry it.

A very simple play created by an English team, the country with some of the most spectacular plays in the world. A corner kick is given on the left. A player crops the ball and sends it high and hide to Eyal Berkovic, who is on the centre, 20-metres away. Without to much thinking, he goes for a first touch volley and fires the football next to keeper's left post. He surely can be happy with this one.

At Euro2000 tournament in Belgium & Holland, the Dutch team met Yugoslavia. At first sight it should have a tight game. But the home team demolished Yugoslavia by winning 6-1. One of the goals was scored by the right attacking midfielder, Marc Overmars, who took over the ball send to him by Dennis Bergkamp from the left, and send a sweet volley straight into the net.

In a team that "suffers" because of the Italian strictness, Serginho, Kaka or Cafu bring a shade of Brazilian enlightened football. In a Champions League match he proved that even if he is 34 yeas old, he can play at a very high level. A pass from Kaka to Shevchenko, the Ukrainian striker deflects it to Cafu, who manages to escape from a possible offside position down the left and to send a superb volley from 20-metres. The keeper was a long way off his line and couldnt save it.

When it played it Champions League, the Israeli team Maccabi Tel-Aviv managed to realize some nice performances at home. They have defeated Panatinaikos Athens from Greece, Manchester United and the Dutch players from Ajax Amsterdam. In this match against Ajax, Baruch Dego scored on a volley from 16-metres. A vintage performance from him as he took advantage of a slacking defense.
